Albert W. Fisher
On January 10, 2025, after a short illness, the Lord took Albert home to heaven. Albert was living at Charter Senior Living in Jackson, Wisconsin. Albert was born on August 5, 1925 in Mill Hall, Pennsylvania, to Byron C. and Dora Mae (Phillips). He was preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers and sisters; Foster, Eugene, Lola, Jesse, Hazel, Clara, Martin and Rose; two granddaughters Cheryl Fisher and Joanna Homuth. In 1943 he was drafted into the U. S. Navy. He received his basic training at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center in Illinois and received further training at Coronado, California in Amphibious Operations. He served in the Marshall Islands in the Central Pacific theater. He was discharged on May 9, 1946 in Bainbridge, Maryland. Albert married Carol Nickel in Milwaukee on October 5, 1946 at Mount Carmel Lutheran Church. The couple moved to West Bend in 1946 where he began his long career of 42 years at the West Bend Company where he worked as a Master Electrician. He retired from the Company in 1988.
During his long life of 99 years he enjoyed many pursuits, including gardening, camping, carpentry, hunting and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed maintaining his
cars and home appliances. He enjoyed attending and serving his church, Good Shepherd Lutheran in West Bend.
He is survived by his wife Carol of 78 years, three children, Alan, Lauri (Dennis) Homuth, and Dale. He is further survived by five grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and
nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Florida.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025 from 10:30am until 11:45am with a Memorial Service at 12:00 Noon, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 777 S. Indiana Ave, West Bend. Burial will be at Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery, Batavia, Wisconsin at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be given to Building Connections of Good Shepherd Church.
The family especially wishes to thank Glenn and Paula Gilson, and the care-givers at Charter Senior Living during Albert's final days.
