Obituary

Adelia A. Spaeth (nee Melder), of West Bend, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the age of 97. She was born on June 6, 1916 in Halder, Marathon County, WI to the late William and Theresa (Dienberg) Melder. On May 17, 1941, she married Sylvester J. Spaeth at St. Patrick's Church in Halder, WI. After their marriage, they settled in West Bend where she raised her family. She was a member of the St. Frances Cabrini Christian Mothers and the Young at Heart Club. She enjoyed sewing, camping with her husband and their friends, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Gerald (Mary) Spaeth, Doris Hauk, Rosita "Rosie" Spaeth and George (JoEllen) Spaeth, Sylvester D. Spaeth; eight grandchildren, Kristin and Jennifer Spaeth, Nicole (Dane) Nordine, Mary (Darryl) Fuller, Amy (Sam) Spaeth-Bauman, Heidi, Justin (Kalvert) and Bryan Spaeth; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Florence (Roman) Mueller; brother-in-law, Roland (Marie) Spaeth, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester; daughter, Mary Theusch; son-in-law, Donald Theusch; grandsons, Jeffery and Timothy Theusch; daughter-in-law, Julie (nee Edwards) Spaeth; brother, William (Mary) Melder; sisters, Gertrude (Arthur) Spaeth, Theresa (Henry) Peters, Margaret (Lawrence) Spaeth, Anna (Frank) Spaeth, Sister Genedine, Catherine Melder and Marie Melder; brother/sister-in-law, Howard and Bernice Spaeth.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 6:30 PM at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Parish (1025 S 7th Ave, West Bend) with Fr. Enrique Hernandez presiding. The visitation will be at church on Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 6:15 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Angels Cemetery on Friday, January 10th at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Frances Cabrini Parish, Samaritan Health Care Center, or charity of your choice would be appreciated.

The family would like to thank all the staff at the Samaritan Health Care Center and Seasons Hospice for the wonderful and compassionate care they gave to our mother.
