Adam M. Jakubowski (62), of West Bend passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 2, 2024. Adam was born to Raymond and Helen (nee Cook) Jakubowski, on May 10, 1962, in Racine, Wisconsin.
Adam was a kind, humble and no-nonsense kind of guy, who lived life to the fullest. Adam was a graduate of Racine Park High School, class of 1981. He went on to serve in the United States Army from 1982 to 1985. After completing his service in the Army, he settled in West Bend, where he became a long-time employee at Norstar Aluminum Molds Inc. of Cedarburg, working as an Aluminum Mold Hand Finisher for 38 years. Adam was an avid outdoorsman, who had a passion for hunting and fishing. He was so proud to have passed this onto his sons and grandson, and shared countless memorable hunting moments together. He spent many years leading the Newburg Sportsmen's Club, where he proudly started the 3D Archery Leagues, which quickly expanded to the Union Rod and Gun Club. When not outdoors, you could find Adam watching an old Western, bargaining for antiques, bird watching (he was especially proud of his hummingbirds and orioles), telling stories, and spending time with his family and friends. He loved his grandchildren more than anything and cherished the time they shared together. He was especially excited to meet his newest granddaughter, due later this year.
Adam is survived by his sons, Jared (Hilary) and Heath (Natasha); grandchildren, Jameson and Marley; siblings, Diana (Paul) Ross, Carl (Mary) Jakubowski, Joan (Ramiro) Romo, Peggy (Peter) Georgeson, and Larry (Melissa) Jakubowski; and dear friend, Lisa Nevsimal. He is further survived by nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and many friends.
Adam is preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Adam's Life will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the Newburg Sportsmen's Club (835 West Main Street, West Bend, WI) from 2:00pm until 5:00pm, with a Time of Sharing at 3:00pm and Military Honors at 3:45pm.
