William L. Schreiber Sr. “Bill”, age 91, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017. He was born on May 12, 1925 in Milwaukee. He attended Boys Tech and served in the Army during WWII. He married Margaret (nee Hendricks) on July 30, 1949. He worked at A.O. Smith as a welder for 40 years.
Bill was fortunate to take the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight at age 88. He was a fantastic cook and enjoyed taking walks with his dog. He loved spending time with his wife and family, especially the grandkids.
He is survived by his children, Bill Jr. (Dianne), Mike (Loralie), Doreen Moore, Lynn (Brian) Barker; grandchildren, Amy (Jason) Stibb, Benjamin (Allison), Sara (DJ) Scullin, Thomas (Holly), Griffin Barker, Carrie Schreiber, Caitlyn and Lauren Barker, Samuel and Emily; four great-granddaughters and one great-grandson; sister Margaret Fulmer and brother John Schreiber. He’s further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 66 years, Margaret, and sister Dorothy Luciani.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Drive, West Bend) with Fr. Jerry Repenshek presiding. The Visitation will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 from 4:00 PM until the time of service at 6:00 PM. Final resting place, Washington County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight.
