Ron B. Thelen of West Bend passed away Wednesday November 11, 2008 at his residence at the age of 73 years.

He was born on  January 4, 1935 in Milwaukee to Theodore and Loretta (nee Woltring). Ron graduated from Cedarburg High School.  Ron had 11 years in the US Navy and also 11 years in the Air Force National Guard. He managed the VFW Club House in West Bend before retiring.

Ron is survived by his siblings Michael (Sharon) Thelen of Richfield, Marlene Jackson of Cedarburg, Nancy (Lowell) Jenz of Minocqua, Mary (Willie) Weyker of Fond du Lac, Diane Lecher of Port Washington, Karen (Wayne) Kirst of Kewaskum and his sister in law Shirley Thelen of England.     

Ron loved playing golf and spending time with his friends, and his involvement with all the activities at the VFW Club House.

A Memorial  Service for Ron will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel with the Harol Mapes officiating. Interment will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Newburg. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 15 at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until time of service (3:00 p.m.).  Memorials to the charity of choice appreciated.
