DuWayne G. Peterson of Franklin, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday November 4, 2008 at his residence at the age of 78 years.

He was born December 12, 1929 in Milwaukee to Severin and Isabella (nee Goodman) Peterson. After attending Boys Tech High School, he entered the US Army and served in the Korean War as a Sergeant. After returning home from the war, he began his career with Allen Bradley as a machine operator for 25 years until retirement. On February 1, 1964, DuWayne married MaryAnn Bichler in Port Washington and began their life together. He enjoyed gardening, watching the Packers and mostly loved spending time with his family.

DuWayne is survived by his loving wife Mary Anne (nee Bichler), his sons Wayne (Jennifer) of West Bend and Paul (Dawn) Peterson of Fond du lac, his grandchildren Nicholas, Brittany, Katelin and Nathan. Also surviving are his brother Severn Peterson of California, brother and sister in law Ward (Joan) Braby of  Port Washington, nieces, nephews, God Children, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.

Funeral services for DuWayne will be Friday November 7, 2008 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00pm (Noon).  Interment Arlington Park Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday November 7, from 10am until time of service (12:00pm).
