Allan Carl Halter of West Bend (formerly of Milwaukee), passed away Tuesday November 18, 2008 at Virginia Highlands in Germantown at the age of 91 years.

He was born on August 21, 1917 in Franklin, WI to William and Emma (nee Keske). He was a graduate of Marquette University and worked as a controls engineer for Allis Chalmers for 42 years. On November 4, 1944, he married Doris E. Nemetz at the Church of Epiphany in Milwaukee.

Allan is survived by his wife Doris, his children Charlene (John) Pederson of West Bend, Larry (Pamela) Halter of Franklin, Shari Halter of New York, grandchildren Steve (Colleen) Pederson, Kristin (David) Maas, Stephanie (John) Sosa, Julian Pacia and Francis Pacia, 8 great- grandchildren, one sister Ethel Esch, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Allan was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church in Milwaukee and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in West Bend.

Funeral Services for Allan will be 11am Saturday November 22, 2008 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel 1420 W. Paradise Dr. in West Bend with Rev. Richard E. Lauersdorf officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday at the funeral home from 10am until time of service.  Interment will take place in Arlington Cemetery in Milwaukee.
